Vietnam DAV recognition list expands by 12 Chinese makers; 3 categories enter zero-tariff

Vietnam DAV's April 2026 second-batch recognition list adds 12 Chinese makers. Three equipment categories (filling, tablet press, cleanroom) get zero-tariff under RCEP.

🇻🇳

Vietnam's Drug Administration (DAV) continues to grow its 'mutually recognized maker list' under the China–Vietnam policy framework. The April 2026 second batch added 12 Chinese equipment makers across filling, tablet press, cleanroom, and QC equipment.

What's notable

  • Cleanroom equipment enters the mutual-recognition channel for the first time — previously EU-only.
  • Under RCEP, the three categories (filling / tablet press / cleanroom) export to Vietnam at zero tariff for 5 years.
  • Review window: 30 working days (70% compression vs the general channel).
  • Makers must submit 24-month internal audit records and quality complaint data.

Action for Chinese makers

Not on the list yet: prioritize ISO 13485 + GMP dual certification; ensure 24-month quality records are traceable. Already on the list: capture the 5-year zero-tariff window — focus engagement on Pymepharco, Imexpharm, DHG Pharma.

Filing window

DAV refreshes the list each April and October. The October 2026 cycle closes for applications on August 15. Our HCMC partner can support end-to-end submission.
